I have long been a fan of some of Johnson Tsang’s porcelain sculptures, but not until his Open Mind and Dream Series was I absolutely smitten with his work. The way he takes the human face/head and turns it into a canvas for a “thought” his thought - which is itself an added layer of each creation. It’s like the Vulcan phrase “my mind to your mind, my thoughts to your thoughts” and with that, I thought I would share my ramblings on each piece within the two series.
Bridgehouse, located in Port Sydney, Ontario is a 2400sqft linear home that spans an 18mWx5mD ravine in a forested valley next to a natural reserve. Designed by Llama Architecture and Urban Design, the private home is made with locally sourced Glulam Douglas-fir struts.
Zarathustra is a fat cat that has made his mark on the art world – literally. Instead of creating new masterpieces, Zarathustra’s humans have instead taken famous masterpieces and improved on them by adding in a little fat cat art into the mix.

Wood Flow is the name of a beautiful and multi-functional roof deck located on top of a building in Boston’s south end. Designed by Jeremy Jih through J ROC Design, the client’s brief was for an outdoor space that could accommodate such diverse activities as yoga and large parties.
