Bone China – literally – by The New English, also Insects and Anatomy
A BONE-ified collection of scary plates by The New English” is a super elegant way to add a touch of Goth to any room but if you prefer your bone china to be a bit “friendlier” New English also has many other options, including insects and anatomy.
The patterns, whether skull or other offer a double take, taking what would normally be an uncomfortable composition and “classing” it up into a breathtaking display of gorgeous.
Inkhead Bone China Pattern
The Inkhead pattern, designed by Florian Hutter, brings tattoos, the emblems of the once marginalised onto your dinner table.
These Inkhead cups and saucers are so subtle, your guests may not even realize they are sipping tea from skull themed bone china. Bwah.
Lepidoptera Bone China Pattern
The Lepidoptera series was designed for The New English by Maxim, the lead singer of the band “The Prodigy”.
Based on a drawing within one of Maxime’s paintings, the pattern features a wide range of unusual creatures.
The combination of butterflies and skulls create a fairy-tale story that is kind of fun.
Each piece within this bone china series has 22kt gold accents, therefore hand washing is a must.
Entomo Bone China Pattern
From the gossamer wings of the butterfly to the graphic beauty of the stag beetle, the Entomo collection is a black and white pattern of earthly delight.
Creepy, crawly craftsmanship at its best. Entomo makes use of burnished Platinum bands and accents.
Anatomica Bone China Pattern
Designed b y Lisa Turner, the Anatomica Bone China pattern brings the spirit of the 19th century into our modern homes by featuring formal etchings in all their goth detail of our powerful human machine.
There is nothing quite like staring at an image of our innards while we eat.
Whether the lithograph of the subjects head is screened into the inside of the cup or not, the final effect is definately creepy.
Bone China Wall Art
Adam & Eve is a 3 plate set that can be used at the dinner table, or hung on the wall. Designed by Paul Bishop the bone china set switches up the story by showcasing both Adam and Eve reaching for an apple with the serpent not necessarily favouring one over the other.
Supermodel by Phoebe Richardson is a life sized 10 plate art installation that does not tell you if the “super model” is a man or a woman.
England Skull by Paul Bishop is an edgy 30 plate skull design that layers the English flag over the skull head.
Does Jaws still scare you? Paul Bishop designed this 120-plate wall art collection.
