"Orca Portal at the 50th Parallel" looks out to Quadra Island from the 50th parallel in Campbell River. The painting is done in acrylic and is the exact view of Discovery Passage that the home owners see from their condo. This 20" diameter canvas was painted in acrylic using colours that work with the room and compliment the diamond shaped painting beside the window of an Innukshuk that I also painted. The orca portal was designed to specifically nestle into the point of the upside down blue triangle on the wall. It continues the west coast theme that runs throughout the condo and is one of nine of my pieces in their private collection.
